About mishahock
Sports Journalist. Economy Analyst. Part-time predictor of the 2036 Olympic medals. I spend my days at the intersection of turf and tech, figuring out if AI can eventually replace my favorite striker (spoiler: it can’t, but it can definitely track his sleep). If there’s a new stadium being built, a sponsorship deal being signed, or a hockey tactic being revolutionized in India, I’m probably writing a long-form opinion piece about it. Welcome to my space, where the stats are deep and the takes are hot.

In India, talent is rarely the problem.
The system is.
And yet we keep asking the athlete to run faster, instead of fixing the track.

Every Indian athlete carries two opponents.
One on the field.
And one in the system that was supposed to support them.

The gap is not in talent.
It is in planning, patience, and policy.
Until that changes, medals will remain moments, not movements.
